Stonebridge Coronavirus Update
May 26th, 2020
We are excited to announce that we will be having in-person worship services starting
Sunday, May 31 at 9a and 11a!
After consulting with local medical professionals, the elders now feel comfortable moving forward with Sunday morning worship services with hospitalizations and deaths stabilizing related to COVID-19.
We want to make three points abundantly clear:
1. If you are high risk for COVID-19, been exposed to it recently, or are sick we ask you NOT to come out of love for others, and online services will continue for you as they have been (see “Stonebridge Safety Guidelines”)
2. If you are able to attend, we have several safety measures in place (see “Stonebridge Safety Guidelines”) but we cannot guarantee anything. There is risk involved.
3. If you can attend, do it! Battle the natural tendency to isolate and insulate and come encounter Jesus in a way that just can’t be done by yourself through a screen.
We understand that with the amount of young families in our church, not having D6 Children’s ministry going for any child(including infants) is not ideal and creates some significant barriers. Here are some ideas if this is the only barrier for you attending:
If you feel comfortable, find family or friends to partner with and take turns watching kids and attending between the two services.
Give it a shot with your kids. Maybe they can handle a service better than you think. We understand that kids will be loud and squirmy and are absolutely good with that!
Bring quiet activities such as coloring books, tablets, or the service notes page on our website to help keep them occupied and maybe even engaged.
